Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is coming up with a noble means to serve the train passengers.
The train passengers travelling at a night time will be benefited more while reaching to their destinations.
The call centre of the IRCTC will be sending a wake-up call on your mobile .
Alert Call is similar to an alarm for rail passengers, who doze off while travelling.
Specially for those passengers, who forget to get down in their destinations during night-time or early morning hours, Indian Railways has introduced Alert Call facility.
The passenger has to register his PNR number found on his ticket, by calling 139 as soon as he gets into the train.
The passenger has to select the option for ‘Destination Alert’ on the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system.
He will be alerted by a call just before the destined station arrives.
