The Andhra Pradesh government is all set to launch cashless transactions starting from December 1st, 2016 .
AP Government has brought a new App “AP PURSE” to bring ease in the troublesome situation arose due to currency ban.
With this app , all the financial transactions can be done by “e pass” method.
AP Government has already taken measures to make the swiping machines available focusing on cashless transactions.
The regional transport authority (RTA) has already introduced point-of-sale (PoS) machines for its transactions.
It is taking necessary steps to bring swiping machines into use in Raitu Baazar, Check posts and many other places for the convenience of people.
An ‘E Pass’ counter is started in Tirupati RTC Bus stand where Debit and Credit cards can be used.
Tirupati regional manager requested the travellers to make use of the services of the counter to encourage cashless transactions, bringing awareness among people.
Visakhapatnam is going to be the first city in AP to experience this . Praveen Kumar, Visakha district Collector said that according to the instructions of the chief minister Chandrababu Naidu, all the government offices will be installing the point-of-sale (PoS) machines.
The collector said that indents have been placed to other important government run bodies by the civil supplies department.
