The common Hyderabad High Court (HC) of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana has stayed the Swiss Challenge method of construction of Andhra Pradesh (AP) capital Amaravati, the proposed capital of the state.
High Court , While hearing petitions filed by two realtors, challenging AP government over handing construction contracts to Singapore companies, said that the petitions are qualified to be taken up.
While AP capital construction works have come to a halt, the next hearing in the case will be on October 31st.
Reacting to the court proceedings, the Andhra Pradesh (AP) government is likely to approach the division bench regarding the stay on Amaravati construction works.
The High Court (HC) has ordered a stay, based on two petitions that the works were all given to Singapore companies.
The Court has directed the Andhra Pradesh government to file an affidavit.
