It is reported that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s announcement to demonetise Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes is not a sudden one.
A solid six months of team work went behind the decision by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to ban 500 and 1,000 rupees notes, it is learnt.
It is learnt that PM Modi six months ago only, the Modi government told the RBI to get set for this big-bang attack on black money.
It is being considered a bold step forward, by a large section of the public, despite minor irritations.
Facing flak from Opposition, about it’s promises on reigning in black money, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) got down to work, way back when it started off two-and-a-half-years ago.
Through it’s Jan Dhan Yogana, Income Declaration Scheme (IDS) and now demonitisation, Modi is able to secure nearly 1.25 lakh crores in banks.
