MFA student commits Suicide in HCU hostel

A first student Nelli Praveen Kumar of Masters of Fine Arts (MFA) in University of Hyderabad (UoH) has committed suicide in a hostel.

Praveen, hailing from Shadnagar of Mahbubnagar district has taken the extreme step of ending his life by hanging at the university hostel room in L block.

He was learnt to have committed suicide in the early morning today.

Praveen has joined the hostel just a month ago.

Police has been trying to find out the reasons by asking questions to students and professors of the University.

The suicide incident has created sensation in the university and its premises.

The cause of the suicide is yet to be known.

His postmortem has been completed and his body has been kept in Osmania Hospital.

In the suicide of Nelli Praveen Kumar, the student union leaders blamed the varsity administration.

Stating that Praveen could have committed suicide only because of the pressure of the university authorities, they flayed the warden for her apathy.

Police maintained that Praveen committed suicide out of depression.

The distort family members of the victim said that they have no idea regarding the cause of the suicide.

He infact was a source of inspiration to them, his sister said

Police after seizing the diary written by Praveen predicted that probably loneliness and mental stress might have led to the suicide.
