Vietnam has uncovered a novel hybrid variation of COVID-19, which it claims is a mixture of strains previously detected in India and the United Kingdom.
While the country’s health minister, Nguyen Thanh Long, did not quantify the number of cases associated with the new variation, he did say that Vietnam will soon publicise the finding on the world’s genetic strain map.
