Demonetisation row : Senior citizen dies waiting in queue at Marredpalli in Secunderabad

The central government’s demonetisation policy has forced the people to rush towards the Banks for exchange of high old currency notes and ATMs for withdrawing money to fulfill the basic needs of them.

A retired government employee died, after waiting in queue for a long time, to deposit his hard earned money in Andhra Bank branch of West Marredpalli, in Secunderabad this morning.

The victim identified as Lakshmi Narayana, fell unconscious and was being shifted to a hospital in 108 ambulance, when he died on the way.

The victim was standing in the queue for senior citizens, where there was not much rush, Police officials at the place said.

They suspect that he had low BP.
