Andhra Pradesh has achieved a monumental milestone by hosting the world’s largest Parent-Teacher Meeting (Mega PTM), securing a prestigious Guinness World Record. Education Minister Nara Lokesh proudly dedicated this record to the state’s dedicated teachers. According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the Mega PTM saw an astounding participation of 5.34 million parents and teachers, with a total of 15.2 million individuals, including students, alumni, school management, and School Management Committee (SMC) members, directly or indirectly involved.

A Historic Achievement on the Eve of National Education Policy Anniversary

Coinciding with the fifth anniversary of the National Education Policy on July 28, 2025, the Mega PTM’s record-breaking success underscores Andhra Pradesh’s commitment to elevating government schools to global standards. Minister Lokesh expressed immense joy, stating that this Guinness World Record is a testament to the government’s relentless efforts to enhance education quality. He lauded the teachers for their tireless dedication in making the Mega PTM a resounding success. Gratitude was extended to students, parents, alumni, public representatives, donors, and the education department for their collective contribution to this historic feat.
