Hubble Confirms Largest Comet Nucleus Ever Seen-2022
The Hubble Space Telescope identified and confirmed that the largest comet in our solar system seems to be on a million-year trek to approach the Sun.
It will take approximately 2 million years for it to complete its orbit.
C/2002 VQ94, which had a 96-meter-wide nucleus found in 2002 by the Lincoln Near-Earth Asteroid Research (LINEAR) project, held the previous best.
Hubble’s findings were published in The Astrophysical Journal Letters in a new research.
