1- YSRCP MPs meet with the Election Commission, seeking de-recognition of the TDP

On Thursday, a YSRCP team met with Chief Election Commissioner Sushil Chandra and presented a letter asking action against Telugu Desam Party leaders.

TDP politicians, according to YSRCP leaders, are using vulgar words in public and their rowdy behaviour is harming the state’s democratic process. Leaders of the YSRCP requested the EC to de-recognize the TDP.

MP Vijayasai Reddy told the media that they had submitted a memorandum to the EC against TDP leaders Devineni Uma, Nara Lokesh, Pattabhi Ram, Bonda Uma, and Ayyanna Patrudu for their unpleasant statements.

He said that hearing about the event, electoral commission officials were taken aback.

2- TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu is expected to pay a visit to Kuppam today.

Chittoor: N Chandrababu Naidu, national president of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), is slated to visit his home seat of Kuppam today and tomorrow, October 29 and 30.

According to reports, Naidu would travel by road from Bengaluru to Kuppam on Friday and address a public assembly at the bus terminal.

He will also participate in roadshows in nine panchayats, according to party sources, and the TDP chief’s journey is intended to build morale among party personnel.

Everyone is watching Chandrababu Naidu’s Kuppam visit right now since there are internal tensions among the party cadre in the constituency.

3- By-elections: Cash payout for votes cast in the Huzurabad seat

Huzurabad: With the Huzurabad by-elections slated to take place on October 30, political parties are busily enticing voters by offering money to exercise their franchise.

Many videos have circulated on social media claiming that representatives of the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi and the Bharatiya Janata Party are purportedly handing money to voters in exchange for a commitment to vote for their respective parties.

According to reports, party officials are handing out Rs 5,000 to Rs 20,000 per vote using e-payment applications or in person.

Few voters in the constitution protested when they were denied money to exercise their right to vote. It is expected that poll results will be released on November 2.

4- The GHMC punishes TRS leaders for flexing during a plenary meeting.

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has sanctioned Telangana Rastra Samiti (TRS) leaders for arranging massive flexes and banners before the party’s plenary meeting.

Following the activation of the Enforcement, Vigilance, and Disaster Management (EVDM) Twitter account, netizens protested about the flexes placed up throughout Hyderabad and tagged the GHMC’s relevant officials.

According to estimates, GHMC authorities fined around Rs 10 lakh in fines until 9 p.m. Thursday. According to reports, Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender was fined Rs 3.10 lakh,

Minister Tlasani Srinivas Yadav was fined Rs 1.5 lakh, and Mayor Gadwal Vijaya Lakshmi was fined Rs 65,000 by GHMC officials. Minister Malla Reddy received Rs 10,000.

5- Raghunandan Rao, a BJP MLA from Dubbaka, is under house arrest.

Police in Hyderabad have placed Bharatiya Janata Party Dubbaka MLA Raghunandan Rao under house arrest after he and other BJP activists called for a siege of the Siddipet district collectorate at noon today.

According to sources, Hyderabad police detained MLA Raghunandan Rao at his Gachibowli house.

According to reports, BJP leaders have vowed that they will lay siege to the Siddipe Collectorate in response to collector Venkatrama Reddy’s statements threatening seed sellers with the cancellation of their trading licence if they sell rice seeds.

6- The transfer of the Kukatpally zonal commissioner was halted within a day.

V Mamata, Kukatpally Zonal Commissioner in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation and president of the Telangana Gazetted Officers Association, is in the news when her transfer orders were reversed just a few hours after the issuance.

According to sources, the state government issued 795 no G.O. on Thursday removing the four zonal commissioners.

Mamata obtained transfer orders from Kukatpally to LB Nagar, however within a few hours, another G.O no 797 was issued, cancelling Mamata’s transfer orders.

Previously, as deputy commissioner, she declined to relocate from Chandanagar to Jubilee Hills and was instead sent to Sherlingampalli.

7- ‘What has Islam got to do with cricket?’ Owaisi criticises Pakistan’s Minister for statement on T-20 victory

AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi slammed Pakistan Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed’s statement on the country’s T20 World Cup victory against India. Taking a swipe at Rasheed, the AIMIM president enquired as to what Islam has to do with cricket matches.

Owaisi was speaking at a mass meeting in Muzaffarnagar ahead of the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections.
