Rashmika Mandanna Acknowledges Amitabh Bachchan’s Support Over Deepfake Controversy

In the wake of a pernicious deepfake video disseminating across the digital sphere, Rashmika Mandanna expressed her gratitude towards the cinematic stalwart Amitabh Bachchan for his vociferous call to legal arms. In the gloaming of Monday, Mandanna, confronting the sinister manipulation of her digital visage, extended her thanks through X (the platform erstwhile known as Twitter).

Her words, imbued with a sense of security, heralded the integrity of leaders of Bachchan’s ilk, “Thankyou for standing up for me sir, I feel safe in a country with leaders like you.” Bachchan, ever the sentinel of justice, affirmed on X, “Yes this is a strong case for legal.”

Mandanna, in a heartfelt rejoinder to the unwarranted video, elucidated on the chilling reality of technological exploitation. “The dissemination of a deepfake video bearing my likeness is disconcerting,” she stated. “The fact that anyone of us could fall prey to such nefarious uses of technology is indeed daunting. In these trying times, the bulwark of my family, friends, and supporters fortifies my spirit.

Yet, I ponder with trepidation on the plight I would face in my youth, unshielded from such digital malevolence. It is imperative that we, as a collective, address this scourge with alacrity.”

The odious imitation surfaced on Sunday, casting Mandanna in a scenario within an elevator—a scene purloined from the life of British-Indian social media figure Zara Patel.

Rashmika Mandanna‘s oeuvre spans across an array of cinematic marvels such as Geetha Govindam, Dear Comrade, and the box office titan Pushpa: The Rise. Her artistry has seared her image into the annals of cinematic history, a testament to her prowess and versatility.

Embarking upon the Bollywood firmament with Goodbye, Mandanna has since graced the screen in the espionage tapestry, Mission Majnu, alongside Sidharth Malhotra. The horizon holds her appearance in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal, sharing the limelight with luminaries such as Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol. Moreover, her return in Pushpa 2: The Rule, with Allu Arjun, is eagerly anticipated.
