Delhi Police detained two protesters, a man and a woman, for protesting with color smoke flare outside Parliament on Wednesday.
The protesters were identified as Neelam from Hisar, Haryana, and Amol Shinde from Latur, Maharashtra.
Deputy Commissioner of Police, Pranav Tayal, confirmed the protest occurred outside Parliament near Transport Bhawan.
Two unidentified men also jumped from Lok Sabha’s visitor’s gallery, causing the House to adjourn.
The Lok Sabha incident happened at 1 p.m. while Rajendra Agarwal was chairing.
The detained protesters were taken to Parliament Street police station for interrogation.
The jump by the unidentified men in Lok Sabha led to a brief commotion before adjournment.
