Singer KK receives a ‘Gun Salute’ in Kolkata, and Mamata Banerjee attends
While the sudden death of legendary singer KK after a live concert in Kolkata startled everyone, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said on Wednesday morning that the state government has decided to honour him with a gun salute at the Kolkata airport.
The Mamatha Banerjee government honoured him with a gun salute at the Kolkata airport as part of it.
Mamata Banerjee presided over the ceremony and paid tribute to the singer. His body was held at Rabindra Sadan for a while.
KK‘s body was later returned to his family and transported to Mumbai for funeral rites.
