Father-Son Bond Turns Deadly in “Thug Life”

The trailer reveals a deep, almost father-son relationship between Kamal Haasan’s Rangaraya Sakthivel, a powerful gangster, and Silambarasan’s Amar. However, their bond shatters as betrayal leads to an explosive conflict.

Kamal Haasan’s character declares, “We both will be together till the end. Our destinies were written to be one.” But soon, the two lock horns in a high-stakes battle for power.

A Global Gangster Drama with Stellar Action

Thug Life appears to be a globe-trotting gangster saga, packed with intense action sequences. Kamal Haasan revealed in an interview with Hollywood Reporter India that the film is based on his original script, Amar Hai.

“I finished a script called Amar Hai, a pun on a man believed to be dead but isn’t. Mani Ratnam took the idea and enhanced it,” Haasan shared.

Star-Studded Cast & Technical Brilliance

The film features an ensemble cast, including Trisha Krishnan, Ashok Selvan, Sanya Malhotra, Abhirami, Nasser, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Joju George.

The first single, Jingucha, penned by Kamal Haasan, has already created massive buzz.

Release & Multi-Language Appeal

Thug Life will release in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam, ensuring a pan-Indian reach.

Mani Ratnam’s last venture was the successful Ponniyin Selvan duology (2022-2023), while Kamal Haasan was recently seen in Indian 2 (2024).
