Pitt accuses Jolie of secretly selling her half of the ex-controlling couple’s interest in Château Miraval, their famous French winery, to a business owned by Russian oligarch Yuri Shefler, knowing full well that “Shefler and his affiliates would seek to control the business to which Pitt had devoted himself.”
Pitt, 58, and Jolie, 46, bought Château Miraval in Correns, France, in 2008, putting their respective stakes in the businesses they founded before they married.
But, after two years of marriage and 12 years altogether, Jolie asked for a divorce in 2016. In court documents this summer, she claimed that she’d spent the previous few years attempting to negotiate a working arrangement or “full buyout” deal with her ex – with no luck.
