TTD Introduces Major Reforms to Empower TTD Sevaks and Improve Devotee Services

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has announced significant reforms aimed at strengthening the volunteer-based Srivari Seva program. These measures are designed to enhance the quality of services offered by TTD Sevaks to the millions of devotees visiting Tirumala and Tirupati. The reforms include new designations, expanded participation in key services, and a streamlined online booking process.

Acting on the directives of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, TTD officials studied service delivery models at prominent organizations such as Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation (Puttaparthi), Isha Foundation (Coimbatore), and Art of Living (Bengaluru). Based on these insights, the TTD has crafted a new framework for engaging and managing TTD Sevaks. The first phase of implementation will be rolled out through a new online application on April 30, with further reforms planned in a phased manner.

A major reform involves the elevation of retired volunteers, aged 45 to 70, to a new status of Group Leaders. These senior TTD Sevaks, who have been serving for the past two years, will now oversee operations, monitor attendance, and evaluate performance within their assigned departments. They can choose flexible service periods of 15 days, one month, or three months through the online platform.

Another critical change includes opening the Parakamani Seva—the process of counting the offerings from devotees—to general male volunteers. Previously restricted to special categories, the service is now accessible to those with at least a Class 10 education. This reform allows more TTD Sevaks to actively contribute to one of the temple’s most sacred responsibilities.

TTD has also announced the online quota release schedule for June Srivari Seva services on April 30. The release times are as follows:

  • 11:00 AM – General Srivari Seva (Tirumala, Tirupati)
  • 12:00 PM – Navaneetha Seva (Women only)
  • 1:00 PM – Parakamani Seva (Men only)
  • 2:00 PM – Group Leader Seva (New category)

With these changes, TTD aims to further strengthen the role of TTD Sevaks in delivering structured, efficient, and spiritually enriching services to devotees.
