In all of India, there are thousands of people just like them who spend their afternoons collecting used clothing from colonies, housing complexes and apartment buildings in return for kitchenware or other household items. For more than a century, the itinerant Waghris have run an unofficial and frequently hidden old-clothes recycling business.
