With this achievement, Rohit Sharma ranks third overall in IPL history for Player of the Match awards. He trails only AB de Villiers, who has 25 awards, and Chris Gayle, who has 22. Virat Kohli follows Rohit in fourth place with 19 awards.

Rohit Sharma also climbed to second place in the list of all-time highest run-scorers in the IPL. By overtaking Shikhar Dhawan’s tally of 6,769 runs, Rohit now stands at 6,786 runs. Virat Kohli continues to lead the chart with a total of 8,326 runs.
