Film critic Kathi Mahesh passes away Mahesh Kathi, a film critic and former Telugu Bigg Boss competitor, died on Saturday at the Chennai Apollo after succumbing to respiratory failure.  He was being treated in Chennai after being involved in a car accident on June 26 in the Nellore hamlet of Chandrasekharapuram. When his Innova vehicle collided with a truck, he sustained severe injuries to his face and head. In 2015, he made his directorial debut with the film ‘Pesarattu,’ starring Nandu and Nikitha Narayan.  Later, he maintained his career as a film critic and rose to prominence with Telugu Bigg Boss, which was presented by Jr NTR.  Mahesh had been on television news discussions on occasion and had been outspoken about social problems. Andhra Pradesh government has offered a sum of Rs. 17 lakh for Kathi Mahesh’s treatment.

Andhra Pradesh government has offered a sum of Rs. 17 lakh for Kathi Mahesh’s treatment Andhra Pradesh’s state government has come forward to assist film critic Kathi Mahesh, who survived a serious traffic accident.  Kathi Mahesh was in a vehicle accident in Nellore after colliding with a container truck.  Mahesh was hit in the head and had serious eye injuries. Kathi Mahesh, who had been admitted to one of Nellore’s private clinics, was moved to Apollo Hospital in Chennai.  As his medical expenses have soared, AP Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has decided to help him via the CM Relief Funds.  For Kathi Mahesh’s treatment, an amount of up to Rs. 17 lakh has been given.  The AP CMO assured Apollo Hospitals in Chennai of this in a letter.
