Tokyo 2020: PV Sindhu’s Bid For Olympic Gold Ends In Semi-final Defeat To Tai Tzu Ying- India In Olympics On Saturday evening, Indian shuttler PV Sindhu lost to World No. 1 Tai Tzu-Ying in the women’s singles quarterfinals at the Tokyo Olympics.  Sindhu was beaten in straight sets, 21-18, 21-12. With  toptier power placement, crosscourt drops, forehand and backhand smashes, the Chinese Taipei player has overpowered Sindhu from the start of the match.  Tai Tzu-Ying has progressed to the finals and will compete for the gold medal against Chinese player Chen Yufei.  For the bronze medal, India’s top player will compete against China’s He Bing Jiao.
