The long-awaited sci-fi epic ‘3 Body Problem’ from ‘Game of Thrones’ creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss and director Alexander Woo has finally received its first trailer from Netflix, according to ‘Variety’. This is the first significant project for the duo since signing a major overall deal with the streamer in 2019.
The eight-episode drama, which recently completed up production, will be released in January 2024 and is based on the Cixin Liu book series.
According to the sci-fi show’s Netflix description, “A young woman’s tragic choice in 1960s China has an impact on a team of bright scientists in the current day through space and time. Five ex-colleagues gather to face the worst threat in human history as the laws of nature disintegrate in front of their eyes.
Jess Hong, Benedict Wong, Eiza Gonzalez, Jovan Adepo, Alex Sharp, John Bradley, Saamer Usmani, Liam Cunningham, Rosalind Chao, Jonathan Pryce, Marlo Kelly, Sea Shimooka, Ben Schnetzer, and Zine Tseng make up the web series’ all-star cast.
The cast members announced the ‘3 Body Problem’ launch window information and teaser during Netflix’s live-streamed fan event TUDUM, which was held out of Brazil on Saturday night (local time).
