Strategic Move in Parliament Could Secure Andhra Pradesh Special Status, Advocates JD Lakshmi Narayana
JD Lakshmi Narayana stated on Wednesday( January 31, 2024) that a significant opportunity has arisen to secure Special Category Status for Andhra Pradesh.
He urged political leaders to capitalize on this opportunity presented in the form of the budget sessions in Parliament.
He called on MPs to demand the fulfillment of the promises made during the state’s bifurcation and to immediately declare Special Category Status for Andhra Pradesh.
He mentioned that obstructing the ‘Vote on Budget’ introduced by the central government could be a strategy to achieve this status.
JD Lakshmi Narayana demanded that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan and former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu demonstrate their commitment to securing Special Category Status for the state by blocking the ‘Vote on Budget’ in Parliament.
Under the auspices of the ‘Special Status Achievement Committee’, JD Lakshmi Narayana, President of the Jaibharat Party, staged a one-day protest near the Gandhi statue in the Two Town area of Visakhapatnam on Wednesday. He called for public support for the protest and demanded the central government to immediately implement the promises made during the state’s division.
