According to a source close to him who spoke to PTI, Anurag Kashyap underwent a heart operation after complaining of chest trouble last week.
“Yes, he had an angioplasty. He is currently on the mend. Thank you so much for your concern “In a brief statement, his spokesperson stated.
He stated that the 48-year-old filmmaker had been instructed to relax for a few weeks.
Anurag Kashyap is best known for directing critically acclaimed films such as “Black Friday,” “Raman Raghav 2.0,” and the Netflix series “Sacred Games.”
He just finished filming his forthcoming new age thriller film “Dobaaraa,” which stars Taapsee Pannu and Pavail Gulati from “Manmarziyaan.”
The film is now under post-production.
Anurag Kashyap was most recently seen in Vikramaditya Motwane’s film ‘AK versus AK.’
Anil Kapoor also appeared in the movie.
His most recent film as a filmmaker was ‘Choked,’ a Netflix original starring Saiyami Kher and Roshan Mathew.
