Nara Lokesh Promotes Handloom, Gifts Special Saree to Brahmani

Nara Lokesh, Minister for Education, IT, Electronics, and Human Resource Development in Andhra Pradesh, celebrated the Sankranti festival in his hometown of Naravaripalle.

Known for his consistent efforts to promote Mangalgiri handloom, Lokesh frequently uses public appearances to showcase his support for traditional weavers. His admiration for handloom products goes beyond words, as he actively encourages their use.

During the Sankranti celebrations, Lokesh, accompanied by his family, presented a special Mangalgiri handloom saree to his wife, Brahmani, as a surprise gift. Brahmani, adorned in the Mangalgiri saree on the festive occasion, became a center of attraction.

Lokesh’s mother, Bhuvaneshwari, and wife, Nara Brahmani, wore handloom attire during the celebrations, further promoting Mangalgiri handloom and effectively becoming brand ambassadors for the traditional craft.

The weaver community of Mangalgiri expressed happiness over the continued support and appreciation from Lokesh and his family.
