Kataluna Enriquez: First transgender woman to compete in Miss USA pageant Kataluna Enriquez, who won Miss Nevada in a rainbow-colored gown last week, became the first trans person to compete in the formerly Donald Trump-owned Miss USA pageant.  In March, Enriquez, 27, won the Prestigious Silver State USA pageant, which acted as a qualifier for the Miss Nevada USA competition.  When she was engaged as a model, the Filipino-American began competing in transgender beauty pageants in 2016.  The 27-year-old crowned miss Silver State USA pageant in March and advanced to the state final. Enriquez will symbolize the western US state of Nevada in the Miss USA pageant’s national competition in November.

Billionaire Gautam Adani was pulled back to third place among Asia’s wealthiest people just a few weeks after claiming second place, as the Indian millionaire businessman lost $13 billion in four days due to a massive sell-off in shares of Adani group companies. Adani’s net worth is presently $63.5 billion, down from $76.7 billion at the start of this week.
