Recently, Megastar Chiranjeevi participated in an anti-drug campaign for the Telangana government. He created a video with his message, which was shared with the government and went viral on social media.
In the video, Chiranjeevi urged people not to ruin their lives by becoming addicted to drugs.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy expressed his gratitude to Chiranjeevi, praising the top actor for voluntarily participating in the anti-drug campaign.
However, he voiced his dissatisfaction that other film stars were not following Chiranjeevi’s example in the anti-drug initiative.
Revanth Reddy criticized Tollywood actors for approaching the government only for government orders (GOs) to increase ticket prices for new film releases, but not for stepping up with social responsibility regarding cybercrime and drug control.
He emphasized that his government believes that Tollywood actors are not fulfilling their social responsibilities.
The Chief Minister instructed his officials to impose a condition: any film stars seeking GOs to hike ticket prices must participate in anti-drug campaigns.
Revanth Reddy called on everyone to join the movement against drug use, inspired by Chiranjeevi’s efforts.
The Telangana Police Department tweeted a video of Revanth Reddy’s comments.
In response, Megastar Chiranjeevi expressed his gratitude and humbly stated, “Thank you, Revanth Reddy Garu… I consider it my responsibility to convey this important message to the public.”
