Doctor Apologizes to Samantha Over Social Media Controversy
Prominent actress Samantha’s recent social media post about alternative medical practices has become controversial.
She detailed the benefits of hydrogen peroxide nebulization, claiming that non-traditional medical methods can also yield positive results.
However, Dr. Cyriac Abby Philips, popularly known online as ‘The Liver Doctor,’ criticized Samantha’s post. He questioned her qualifications in medical science, asking how she could recommend specific treatments and who would be responsible if patients were harmed by such advice.
He even suggested that Samantha should be jailed for giving false advice.
Samantha responded to the doctor’s comments, leading to an interesting development.
Dr. Cyriac Abby Philips recently posted a lengthy message on social media apologizing to Samantha. He clarified that his comments were not made with malicious intent.
Dr. Cyriac explained that he has been fighting against misinformation spread by some individuals who claim to be doctors online.
He noted that Samantha referenced two doctors (Dr. Mitra Basu Chillar and Dr. Jokers) in her post and stated that she was merely sharing what she learned from them.
Some netizens urged Dr. Cyriac to investigate the credibility of these two doctors. He responded to Samantha’s post because she shared information without verifying it.
Dr. Cyriac expressed sympathy for Samantha’s health condition, wishing her a speedy recovery.
He requested her forgiveness if she misunderstood his intentions, stating that his goal was to highlight the spread of misinformation by certain doctors taking advantage of her unfortunate health situation.
