According to a statement issued on Sunday, January 23, by a close family friend of the artist, she is presently being monitored in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Lata Mangeshkar was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital on January 8 for treatment after testing positive for Covid.
‘Lata Didi is showing continuous signs of improvement from previously and is being treated in the ICU by an amazing team of doctors,’ said Dr Pratit Samdani, one of the panellists.
‘We hope and pray for her rapid recovery and return home,’ stated the doctor.
