Tatineni Rama Rao, a popular filmmaker, died Thursday at the age of 84 in a private hospital at Chennai from age-related diseases.
He was born on November 10, 1938, in Kapileshwarapuram, Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh, and began his career as a filmmaker in 1966 with the film Navaratri.
He directed over 80 films in Hindi and Telugu.
His films Navaratri, Bharmachari, Suputrudu, Raithu Kutumbam, Dorababu, Alu Magalu, Sri Rama Raksha, Yamagola, Atagadu, and Anuraga Devata all won big.
