Kim Petras Unveils ‘Feed the Beast’ as Debut Album

Featuring several of Petras’ recent singles like January’s hit single ‘brrr’, ‘Alone’ featuring Nicki Minaj (which sampled Alice DeeJay’s ‘Better Off Alone’), and the widely popular Sam Smith collaboration ‘Unholy’, the album also includes a guest appearance from BANKS on the track ‘BAIT’.
A picture from his noir photograph showing off an ancient looking sword resting on top of an enormous rock was used by Petras to announce its release on social media. ‘The story begins,’ she expressed in writing along with her post. The fact that she has already released one complete mixtape and some compilation albums notwithstanding, this will represent her inaugural proper album as a German singer.
Following Petras’ 2022 EP Slut Pop is Feed the Beast. Performing at the Osheaga Music Festival in Montreal this August marks the beginning of her upcoming 34-date world tour. All her upcoming shows’ tickets are available here.
One of the media channels, recently spoke with Blake Slatkin concerning his work behind-the-scenes of producing ‘Unholy’. This track led to Petra‘s historic achievement of becoming the first-ever transgender winner of Grammys’ Best Solo Pop Duo / Group performance award. Her accomplishment of topping the Billboard Hot 100 also marked her as history’s first openly transgender artist to do so.
