ACB Files Case Against KTR in Formula E-Car Racing Scam

Formula E-Car Racing Scam: Non-Bailable Charges Filed Against KTR in ₹55 Crore Payment Case

The ACB has registered a case against BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) concerning the Formula E-Car Racing project. KTR has been listed as Accused No. 1 (A1), while IAS officer Arvind Kumar is Accused No. 2 (A2), and HMDA Chief Engineer BLN Reddy is Accused No. 3 (A3). Allegations include unauthorized payment of ₹55 crore to a foreign company without required approvals.

Last month, the state government wrote to the Governor seeking permission to file a case against KTR. Four days ago, Governor Jishnu Dev Varma granted the required approval. Following this, Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari sent a letter to the ACB three days ago, attaching the Governor’s permission.

In response, the ACB filed a case under four non-bailable sections. BRS leaders are reportedly anxious about KTR’s potential arrest. Notices are expected to be issued to KTR within two to three days, summoning him for investigation.
