SC adjourns hearing on Andhra Pradesh govt’s plea seeking nod to conduct Inter exams

New Delhi: The Supreme Court heard a petition filed by the government of Andhra Pradesh urging that it will hold the Intermediate examinations.

The bench, led by Justices AM Khanwilkar and Maheshwari, deferred the next hearing until Friday and asked the state government to provide information about the exam dates, procedure to be followed, and student safety.

According to the Supreme Court, 34,634 rooms are expected to keep tests for pupils, even if the government allocates one room for 15 to 18 students.

Previously, the Apex Court stated that even if only one student dies as a result of the virus, the AP government should bear responsibility.
