Nara Lokesh Highlights Top Investment Opportunities in Andhra Pradesh 2025 at Australia Roadshow

Nara Lokesh Invites Australian Entrepreneurs to Explore Investment Opportunities in Andhra Pradesh 2025

Andhra Pradesh IT and Education Minister Nara Lokesh has called on Australian entrepreneurs to seize the investment opportunities in Andhra Pradesh 2025. Speaking at a roadshow organized by the Australia India Business Council (AIBC) at the New South Wales Parliament in Sydney, he outlined the state’s growth potential, innovative policies, and leadership vision.

He also invited global investors to participate in the CII Partnership Summit to be held on November 14–15, 2025 in Visakhapatnam, emphasizing that Andhra Pradesh is now emerging as one of the most attractive destinations for global investments.

Experienced Leadership and Youth-Driven Governance

Nara Lokesh highlighted three main reasons why Andhra Pradesh is an ideal investment hub. First, the state has a combination of experienced leadership and youthful energy. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, serving his fourth term, has a proven track record in transforming Hyderabad into a global IT hub.

Lokesh pointed out that 50% of newly elected MLAs are youth, and 17 out of 25 cabinet ministers are first-time leaders. This mix of experience and fresh vision, he said, reflects the government’s commitment to rebuilding and transforming the state’s economy.

Speed of Doing Business Policy

The second reason, Lokesh explained, is the government’s unique approach — the “Speed of Doing Business” model. Unlike traditional Ease of Doing Business practices, Andhra Pradesh focuses on swift execution.

He cited the Google Data Center in Visakhapatnam as a success story, completed within just 13 months, slightly beyond the company’s original contract timeline. Similarly, mega projects like ArcelorMittal’s steel plant were executed in record time.

To ensure transparency and accountability, the government has introduced WhatsApp project monitoring groups where ministers, officials, and investors directly track project progress daily. Lokesh revealed that ₹16 lakh crore investments have flowed into the state in the past 16 months due to this proactive system.

A Startup State with National Outlook

The third reason, according to Lokesh, is Andhra Pradesh’s vision of being a “Startup State”. He emphasized the state’s hunger for investments and its readiness to fast-track approvals. Andhra Pradesh is positioning itself as a key contributor to India’s $30 trillion economy goal under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.

Lokesh also highlighted that reforms such as labor law changes have been implemented rapidly — 8 out of 9 central labor reforms were completed within just 15 days, removing bureaucratic barriers to business.
