TTD Criticized for Disregarding Telangana Recommendations: Konda Surekha
Telangana Minister Konda Surekha made sensational comments, alleging neglect of Telangana devotees at Tirumala. She visited the Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple in Srisailam today and spoke to the media regarding this issue.
Minister Surekha expressed concern that the TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams) is not accepting recommendation letters from Telangana ministers and MLAs. She stated that discussions are ongoing with the Andhra Pradesh government to address the matter.
Minister Surekha also mentioned that she had previously spoken to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, who had responded positively to the concerns raised.
Highlighting the contributions from Telangana, she emphasized that a significant portion of TTD’s revenue comes from Telangana devotees. She urged the TTD to allocate funds for religious activities in Telangana and to prioritize Telangana devotees.
Additionally, she requested the TTD’s cooperation in constructing temples and marriage halls in Telangana.
Referring to Telangana’s past, Minister Surekha lamented the loss of Srisailam to Andhra Pradesh due to unfortunate circumstances. She appealed to the TTD to recognize and address the needs of Telangana devotees.
