BRS Leader KTR Summoned by ACB in Ongoing Probe
The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has issued a notice to K.T. Rama Rao (KTR), former minister and working president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). The notice pertains to an investigation into the Formula E-Racing case. As per the notice, KTR has been asked to appear for questioning on January 6 at 10 a.m., which falls on the upcoming Monday.
The case involves an agreement signed between the Telangana Municipal Department and Formula E-Operations Limited during the BRS regime. Alleged violations in the agreement have come under ACB’s scrutiny. In connection with this, the ACB has been collecting information from various officials, including multiple rounds of inquiries with the complainant, Municipal Department’s Principal Secretary Dana Kishore.
Recently, Dana Kishore was questioned for seven hours by the ACB, during which critical information was gathered. Based on his statements, the investigation is being further advanced, leading to the issuance of the notice to KTR.
According to preliminary findings, ACB suspects significant violations in the agreement based on information obtained from the Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MAUD) department. The bureau is likely to question the accused further based on these findings.
