1- Officials dispute claims that the PM Modi-flagged Ganga Vilas cruise ship became “stranded” in Bihar
On the third day of its 51-day voyage, the Ganga Vilas cruise reportedly became stranded in Bihar. The five-star luxury ship became stranded in the Ganga’s shallow water in Bihar’s Chhapra. Officials, however, have refuted the report.
On January 13, Prime Minister Modi officially launched the ship, the longest river cruise in the world and the first of its type in India.

In the midst of the nation’s economic crisis, Imran Khan, the former prime minister of Pakistan, and his PTI party are targeting PM Shehbaz Sharif by disseminating an old video clip of PM Narendra Modi. Nirmala Sitharaman, the Union Finance Minister, described herself as middle class when speaking at a gathering hosted by the RSS magazine “Panchjanya.” She responded, “I identify myself as a member of the middle class, and that is why I understand their pressure,” when asked if any new taxes on the middle class would be included in the 2018 budget. These young people are among the first recruits for the Indian armed forces’ Agnipath short-term induction programme. People between the ages of 17 and 21 are eligible to apply under this programme, which the Modi administration launched in June of last year. If accepted, they would serve a four-year term. 25% of them are eligible for future regular service under the plan.
