6-ED Files Caveat Before Supreme Court In Request For Quashing Of Summons K Kavitha
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed a caveat against BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha in the Delhi Excise Policy Case, which has taken a new turn. The organization has requested that the Supreme Court hold off on making any decisions regarding Kavitha’s plea until they have heard the ED’s version of the story.
The ED has asked Kavitha to appear before them on March 20 for questioning in front of Arun Ramchandra Pillai, the defendant, and other parties engaged in the case. Kavitha, however, has not indicated that she is ready to appear before the agency on the scheduled date. She has opted to wait until the Supreme Court considers her petition on March 24 and has told the ED as such.
Kavitha has also submitted an appeal opposing the ED’s summons in the meantime. Soma Bharat, her attorney, has argued that the warrants are invalid and that they will wait for the ruling of the supreme court.
