1-Opposition MPs in the Lok Sabha protest Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification

The Lok Sabha session was disrupted by opposition MPs in protest against Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification. The MPs, dressed in black, began raising slogans as soon as the session started. However, the proceedings came to a halt in less than a minute after the protesting MPs hurled papers at the Chair and raised slogans. A banner was later thrown at the chair after the Speaker left the hall. Sonia Gandhi and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge were present, and later opposition MPs marched from the Mahatma Gandhi statue in the parliament premises to Vijay Chowk. Rahul Gandhi was asked to vacate his Tughlaq Lane bungalow following the eviction notice from the Lok Sabha housing panel, given to him two days after his disqualification from parliament.
