On Tuesday morning, a large avalanche struck Sikkim’s Nathu La region, burying their vehicles in the snow and killing seven tourists.

Around 11.30 am, the Jawaharlal Nehru Marg, which links Gangtok to Nathu La at the China border, was struck by an avalanche that buried five to six cars and about 30 people under the snow.
