1-Modi Bows as Egypt Presents Indian PM with ‘Order Of The Nile’ | Watch Cairo Visit Highlights
On the second day of his first visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi received The Order Of The Nile, Egypt’s highest state distinction. He exchanged MOUs with Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the president of Egypt. He had already met with the Bohra community and toured the Heliopolis War Cemetery and Cairo’s Al-Hakim Mosque, which dates back to the 11th century. PM Modi spoke with businesses and yoga practitioners before going to the mosque. The Indian Prime Minister is making his first trip to Egypt since 1977. 3-A 1,200-strong mob headed by women forced the Indian Army to release 12 Meitei militants
In the Imphal district of Manipur, the Indian Army was compelled to release 12 Meitei community terrorists after a mob of 1,200 people led by women besieged them. On June 24, the Army detained 12 Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) terrorists as a result of the event. The group participated in a number of assaults, notably the 2015 ambush of a 6 Dogra unit. Self-described Lt Col Moirangthem Tamba alias Uttam, a wanted terrorist who may have been responsible for the tragic Dogra ambush, was among those apprehended. The army praised the operation’s commander for making a “mature decision” that revealed the “humane face of the Indian Army” in a statement.
