Investigation Launched After Mayank Agarwal’s Health Scare on Flight to Delhi

Young cricketer Mayank Agarwal, who was scheduled to travel from Agartala to Delhi, experienced severe discomfort and is reportedly in stable condition.

The cricketer is receiving treatment at the ILS Hospital in Agartala.

The doctors at ILS Hospital issued a health bulletin stating that Mayank suffered from ‘oral irritation,’ resulting in swollen lips.

He was admitted to the hospital on January 30th, and his health is currently stable, with his condition being closely monitored.

On the evening of Tuesday, Mayank Agarwal boarded a flight from Agartala to Delhi.

Reports suggest that he drank a liquid from a pouch in front of his seat on the flight, which led to severe discomfort. He developed swelling and blisters in his throat, prompting immediate landing of the flight and his transfer to the nearby ILS Hospital.

Following this incident, Mayank filed a complaint with the police with the help of his manager. Kiran Kumar, the SP of West Tripura, stated that an investigation has been initiated.

Mayank Agarwal serves as the captain of Karnataka in the Ranji Trophy.

A match between Tripura and Karnataka recently took place in Agartala. Following this match, he was supposed to travel to Rajkot for the next game against Saurashtra.

Hence, as part of his journey, he boarded a flight from Agartala to Delhi.

The police informed that the substance Mayank consumed was likely a cleaning chemical and that it has been sent to a forensic lab for analysis.

Due to his ill health, Mayank will not participate in the upcoming match with Railways in Surat. Manish Pandey is expected to play in his place.
