Nayanthara Joins Megastar Chiranjeevi in Mussoorie Schedule of Mega 157
Megastar Chiranjeevi is progressing energetically with the filming of his 157th movie, currently being made under the working title “Mega 157.” A key update regarding the film has been announced by the production team: the second schedule, conducted in the scenic locations of Mussoorie, has been successfully completed, marking another major milestone for the film.
Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Anil Ravipudi, the project is being developed as a full-fledged comedy entertainer. During the Mussoorie schedule, several important scenes were filmed featuring Chiranjeevi and other key cast members. Actress Nayanthara also participated in this schedule. It is reported that, along with crucial scenes involving the lead pair, a special song was also filmed during this phase.
With the Mussoorie shoot now concluded, the team is preparing to commence the next schedule shortly. “We are getting ready to entertain audiences during Sankranti 2026 with Mega 157. We’re looking forward to starting the next schedule with great enthusiasm,” said director Anil Ravipudi via social media.
Speculation is circulating in the Telugu film industry that Chiranjeevi will be seen in a dual role in this film. According to reports, one character is said to resemble the older, iconic persona of Chiranjeevi, while the other will appear in a complete action avatar. However, the production unit has not yet issued an official confirmation regarding this. Additionally, there are unconfirmed reports that director Anil Ravipudi has named Chiranjeevi’s character as “Shiva Shankar Vara Prasad.”
Known for a series of action dramas in recent years, Chiranjeevi is expected to entertain audiences this time with a full dose of comedy. Anil Ravipudi, who previously tasted success with the film F3, is reportedly working with determination to deliver another blockbuster. Music for the film is being composed by Bheems Ceciroleo.
Along with Chiranjeevi’s fans, general audiences are also eagerly awaiting this film. Producers are planning for a grand-scale release during the Sankranti festival in 2026.
