Navy Day Celebrations: Chandrababu Naidu Hints at Metro Rail for Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu attended the Navy Day celebrations held in Visakhapatnam today as the chief guest. During his address, he referred to Visakhapatnam as the financial capital of Andhra Pradesh and announced that the city will soon get a metro rail service.

He further described Visakhapatnam as a city known for its peaceful environment and assured that the coalition government is determined to transform it into a major technology hub.

Highlighting the grandeur of the Navy Day celebrations, the Chief Minister praised the naval displays conducted along the coastline, calling them spectacular.

He expressed admiration for the discipline of the Navy personnel and noted that he had visited Visakhapatnam on several occasions in the past, but this time felt particularly happy.

He also recalled the devastating Hudhud cyclone and acknowledged the invaluable assistance provided by the Navy in rescue and relief operations during that time.
