Mogali 2025, directed by Sandeep Raj, is a rustic love drama set in a hill village. The film stars Roshan Karthik Kanakala as the innocent Mogali and Sakshi Mahadolkar as Jasmine. While the lead performances, particularly from Roshan and Bandi Saroj Kumar, are solid, the film is let down by a stretched narrative and pacing issues, resulting in a just-okay cinematic experience.

One of the latest films to hit theaters this week is Mogali 2025, directed by colorist-turned-director Sandeep Raj. It features young hero Roshan Kanakala and social media sensation Bandi Saroj Kumar. So, how does this film fare? Let’s delve into the review.
Plot:
In a small village named Parvatipuram in a hilly region lives Murali Krishna, whom the locals call Mogali (Roshan Karthik Kanakala). An orphan who lost his parents young, he finds his family among the villagers and dreams of becoming a police officer someday. His life takes a turn when he falls in love at first sight with a deaf and mute girl, Varsha alias Jasmine (Sakshi Mahadolkar), who arrives in the village for a film shoot. Their love track is disrupted by the arrival of a cruel, womanizing police officer, Christopher Nolan (Bandi Saroj Kumar). What happens next? What challenges does Mogali face? What does he lose? To find out if his love ultimately triumphs, you must watch this film.
Plus Points:
The four main actors in this Mogali 2025 movie deliver solid performances. Firstly, Roshan Karthik Kanakala impresses with his expressive histrionics. He immerses himself completely in the role of Mogali, a wild village boy, and portrays the character’s inherent innocence beautifully through his facial expressions. This emotional range showcases the actor within him well.
Young heroine Sakshi Mahadolkar also performs admirably in her unique role. Her chemistry with Roshan works. As for actor and public star Bandi Saroj Kumar, he is no less. He executes his role’s design perfectly and justifies why he was cast. While audiences have seen him in negative shades before, here it is worked out solidly. His intro, screen presence in the second half, and dialogue delivery are all excellent.
Alongside them, Vaiva Harsha gets a good role. He shines in some comedic and emotional scenes. A sequence featuring him in the first half might be a pleasantly surprising treat for Prabhas’ fans. The other supporting cast also performs well.
Minus Points: Mogali 2025 Movie Review
The main issue with this movie lies in its direction. The point the director wants to make is stretched out excessively. The hero-heroine track feels unnecessarily prolonged. The establishment in the first few minutes is decent, but slowly, situations become uninteresting, routine, and dragged out.
This pattern continues in the second half. While some scenes featuring Bandi Saroj work well, the rest remind the audience of stale, seen-before templates from older mass films. Also, the portion featuring actor Suhas fails to provide any real kick. The attempts to imitate an iconic star do not feel natural.
Furthermore, Roshan needs to focus more on his acting. While he displays innocence wonderfully, in some emotional scenes, he seems to be controlling himself, which slightly reduces the impact. Overcoming this could reveal a better actor in him in the future.
Technical Team: Mogali 2025 Movie Review
The production values in Mogali 2025 are good. A highlight is that the film is shot extensively in real locations. Scene-to-scene transitions are smooth in the first half. The VFX is decent. Kaala Bhairava’s music is good. The editing could have been better.
Coming to director Sandeep Raj… He attempted to give the film a distinct treatment within a color photo range but couldn’t create the desired impact. While he extracted good performances from the main cast, he stretched the remaining narrative too much for the film’s core point. Some scenes could have been trimmed for a more gripping storyline. Also, the scenes featuring the lead pair in the second half feel like rehashed versions from mass movies, lacking novelty.
Verdict: Mogali 2025 Movie Review
Overall, in Mogali 2025, Roshan delivers a promising performance, excelling in portraying his character’s innocence. Bandi Saroj Kumar also gets a good role and does justice to it. While a few scenes here and there don’t land well, the film needed a stronger narrative and deeper emotions. Had the director corrected these aspects, it would have been better. So, this film feels only passably okay.
