Tokyo Olympics 2020 gold medallist Neeraj Chopra being felicitated by the Indian team
Neeraj Chopra became the second Indian (after Abhinav Bindra) to win an individual gold medal for India at the Tokyo Olympics 2020 with a gold medal in javelin.
The 23-year-old son of a farmer from Khandra village near Panipat in Haryana threw 87.58m in the finals.
He has ended India’s 100-year wait for an Olympic track and field gold.
IndiGo has announced that it would provide javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra with unrestricted free travel for a year after his gold medal win at the Tokyo Olympics on Saturday.
