Congress previously described the building as a symbol of the dictatorial rule of the KCR family, a fortress excluding the common people.
When Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) was in power since 2014, heavy barricades and fencing were installed around the Bhavan.
After Congress came to power, the heavy barricades around the Bhavan were removed.
