Rahul Dravid is likely to be replaced with VVS Laxman as Head Coach

Rahul Dravid, the former head coach of the Indian men’s cricket team, concluded his contract after the ODI World Cup and decided not to extend it.

During Dravid’s tenure, Team India reached the finals of the ICC World Test Championship and the ODI World Cup, but was defeated by Australia in both.

VVS Laxman, a former Indian stylish cricketer and Dravid’s ex-teammate, is likely to replace Dravid as the head coach.

Laxman currently leads the National Cricket Academy and will start his coaching duties in the upcoming T20I series against Australia.

Dravid’s coaching began in 2021, following India’s exit from the T20 World Cup in the UAE.

Under Dravid‘s guidance, India also reached the semi-final of the T20 World Cup last year, where they were defeated by Team England.

India’s next cricketing challenge is a T20I series against Aussies, starting at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Vizag.

Summary: Rahul Dravid ended his tenure as India’s cricket coach after notable achievements but without extending his contract. VVS Laxman is likely to succeed him, marking a new chapter in Indian cricket with upcoming series against Kangaroos.
