Rishi Sunak leads British PM race again; Bags support of 115 Tory lawmakers to replace Boris

Indian-origin In the third round of the leadership ballot, UK MP Rishi Sunak has emerged as one of the conservative party’s favourite leaders.

In the third round of Conservative Party voting to select Boris Johnson’s successor, Sunak came out on top. Sunak won the most votes (115), followed by Penny Mordaunt (82 votes), and Liz Truss (71 votes).

Due to worries about image loss, Sunak and Truss withdrew from the third and final TV debate that was scheduled to air today on Sky News.
