Russia Ukraine War- Putin ‘drastically’ WITHDRAWS troops from Kyiv in sign Ukraine is winning
RUSSIA has announced that it will “dramatically decrease” its soldiers near the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv as its invasion continues to flounder.
The declaration was made by Deputy Defence Minister Alexander Fomin, and it comes as a new round of peace talks begins.
The declaration came as the Ukrainian military command reported that Russian troops were beginning to retreat from Kyiv and Chernihiv.
Previous Russian force evacuation claims have been met with scepticism.
When Vladimir Putin authorised the invasion of Ukraine, he expected a speedy triumph, but his soldiers have encountered fierce resistance throughout the battle.
