SBI YONO App: The State Bank of India (SBI), the largest public sector bank in the country, has issued an important announcement for its YONO app users. To strengthen security measures and counter rising cyber threats, SBI has set new guidelines concerning the compatibility of older smartphones.
The bank has announced that the YONO app will no longer function on devices running Android 11 or earlier operating systems.
Customers have been urged to upgrade their smartphones to Android 12 or newer versions to continue using the app without any disruptions.
SBI has been informing users about this update through messages, setting February 28 as the deadline for the upgrade.
Until this date, customers can still access the YONO app on older devices. However, starting March 1, services will be discontinued on smartphones with outdated operating systems.
The bank has requested customers to take prompt action and switch to newer devices to avoid service interruptions.
